WalK & Talk

One of my strong beliefs is that our connection to nature is inextricably linked to our connection to ourselves and each other.

For a number of years I’ve realised that I am more grounded, creative and clear-headed when I’m out on a walk. This concept started when a few friends moved away and we decided to take each other out on walks remotely where each of us would go out in our respective green spaces, to share about ourselves and put the world to rights. We noticed conversations evolved differently when walking ‘side by side’ looking out in front of us. Being in movement, focused on the conversation in a natural environment can create a sense of connection and support that isn’t always as available when we are face to face, and the presence of the natural world can bring another dimension to the conversation.

Then, when a client asked if our coaching session could happen whilst walking. It was easy to embrace the idea and the Walk & Talk sessions were born! Since then it has been a pleasure coaching on the go whilst walking - honouring our values, our natural habitat and our time!

The concept is simple.

Get yourself ready (walking shoes, dressed for the weather) and have a sense of what you want to talk about. Then we go out and have a conversation. Typically these last 1 to 1.5 hours.

If you are local to St Albans, we might even be able to go out together or we can walk at the same time in different places.

Our session can be on the phone or zoom.
